12 weeks and the inches begin

This is exciting, I've never made it to 12 weeks before! Yay!

So, new this week is reflexes, and some other stuff that I don't remember. Sea Monkey is the size of a lime (whoah). Oh, and if I poke my uterus, Sea Monkey is supposed to squirm. And that's really cute. Me-wise, there have been headaches, hunger, forgetfulness, and Zach-pants.

-Headaches. Are. A. Pain. Bah. I used to get headaches a lot in high school, but I think that was mostly because I didn't bother to eat very well. Now I'm eating really well (and a LOT) and drinking so much water I'm thinking about cutting holes in our couch and bed and putting bedpans below so I can just go instead of needing to get up so often (....maybe not). The headaches became more infrequent as I got older, and they only seemed to pop up when I was studying like a madwoman in college. But anyway, I had another doosy last night. And I really dislike taking drugs. I don't know if it's the chemical thing or if it's my hatred for swallowing pills, but I avoid taking Tylenol (and all other pain relievers) as much as I can. My preferred method for dealing with headaches is to hang out in a dark room with a damp washcloth on my forehead and sleep it off. So that's what I did last night. And I slept reeeeeally well. I can only feel traces of it this morning. And according to old wive's tales, headaches during pregnancy indicate boy. So... there's that myth for you.

-Hunger. I feel like I'm eating so much. I just finished some yogurt and I was full for all of 10 minutes. Yikes.

-Forgetfulness. Oh my goodness, this is driving me crazy. Normally, I have a very good memory. I can usually remember exactly what dishes I've used for the past few days and what times I started dinner. When I was reviewing study guides in college for tests, if there was a question that had 3 or 4 answers, I could look at it once and I'd remember it for a few weeks. I just had a very good memory. But the past two days, I've been meaning to do different things, get to wherever I'm going, and completely forget about it (I do usually remember when I'm halfway back to wherever I started). Yesterday I went upstairs to get my camera, but once I got up there, I went to the bathroom instead (I didn't need to go, I think I'm just used to doing that now), and came back downstairs before I remembered I didn't have my camera. Bah.

-Zach-pants. I haven't gained any weight. In fact, I've lost about 5 pounds (I have no idea how, I haven't thrown up and I'm eating more). But my waist is an inch or two thicker (I measured last night). My previous chub is definitely sticking out more and some of my shirts are feeling a bit snug. I usually wear this certain pair of pajama pants to bed, and I was wearing them three days ago with no problems. Then on Wednesday night, I was wearing them and we had just laid down and they felt so uncomfortable. They weren't too tight, they were just secure enough so that it was uncomfortable. They fit just a smidge tighter than I wanted. And it was driving me crazy. So I mentioned it to Zach and he said I could wear a pair of his pajama pants. So I did. And oh sweet relief. They're so comfortable. And they're green. I like green.

In other news, I planted some seeds last week and 4 have sprouted. Yay! I can't wait for spring. Because it's very green. Ha.
