Here's what I've done today: I went through a spreadsheet I made a few weeks ago of the "must have" products from moms with kids and divided it into several different spreadsheets, based on when we would need it and... a whole lot of other things. Then I researched, researched, researched, until Google hates me, and found the brand we want for each item, the price, and an estimation of how many of each item we would need. And then there's a column totaling up the price of everything.
So we've figured out the brand of diapers we want to use (or try, anyway). And... I have more to do. But it's been kind of crazy (and a little frustrating, because there are soooooooo many options).
We plan on letting everyone know what we need, in case people want to buy stuff for us (and you totally should buy stuff for us; it's what all the cool kids are doing. Go on. Give in. Feel the pressure. Do it.... do it now!). And then they'll see just how crazy-organized we are and feel very sorry for poor little Sea Monkey, whose clothes will be put away in order of how they fit and color, in alphabetical order, with a section specifically for clothes with cute little pictures on them.... So... give us money to pay for all the therapy Sea Monkey is going to need.
(I'm joking.)
